Shared assignments are shareable but unique
Shared assignments are shareable but unique in that once the shared assignment is in your course has it's one unique id and can only be edited there in your course.
A mirrored assignment is not unique in that which course that assignment is, it can be edited by anyone who has access to those courses. See here for mirrored assignments support article.
