Account Executive (Corporate Learning)

Account Executive (Corporate Learning)

About Cerego’s Sales & Business Development Team

At Cerego, we’re building a leading technology company and changing the way people learn. We make software and APIs that allow publishers, schools, companies and developers to create personalized learning and training experiences, and help users learn more efficiently.

We have an incredibly impressive suite of clients, from leading publishers (including Cengage, Elsevier, McGraw-Hill) to online course providers (such as edX) to innovative institutions (like ASU) and technology companies (VitalSource Technologies). But our work is just starting.

As an account executive at Cerego, you’ll build relationships with potential clients, helping them see the benefits of Cerego’s platform to solve their training and teaching needs. You’ll negotiate and close 5-figure deals and help grow our ecosystem of happy partners.

Position Overview

The Cerego platform is used as a standalone solution by schools, companies, and online course providers around the world. But the components of the platform are also used by clients who want to supplement their own technology solutions with Cerego’s proven solutions. We think this platform approach is good for the market: it allows more developers to use our personalized learning solution, without having to build it all from scratch. As a member of our business development team, you’ll help identify publishers, technology companies, media companies, and developers working on education products that could benefit from the Cerego platform, and will help structure, negotiate, and close sometimes complex deals to form a successful partnership for both sides.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities
  • Develop innovative sales strategies to identify and contact key decision makers at sales targets, engage them with the platform, and help them choose Cerego
  • Work alongside Cerego leadership to craft, negotiate, and close partnership deals

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of sales, account management, or customer success experience, preferably in a fast-growth environment
  • Proven sales ability with a strong record of achieving sales growth and beating targets, even in challenging markets
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing technology company with a high degree of ambiguity
  • A self-starter mentality and a desire to succeed!

Perks & Benefits

  • Full benefits (e.g. medical, dental, and vision insurance)
  • Top-notch equipment (e.g. Apple laptops and large displays)
  • 401k and commuter benefits
  • Convenient location, 5mins walk to BART and Caltrain
  • Leaving work every night with the satisfaction of knowing you’ve improved people’s lives
  • Pool table!
