Web Designer
Description:
You will be responsible for working with the product/service planning and technical development groups to create world-class user interface designs for our PC and mobile device applications. You will work with the head of our Product team to ensure a consistent branding identity and design strategy consistent with the company’s image and business domains.
This is a producer role – you will need to do hands-on design yourself, as well as find, guide, and direct external design agencies that are required to fulfill your mission.
Requirements:
- exceptionally strong graphic and user interface design skills
- over 5 years experience designing large scale web commercial site pages
- over 2 years experience designing UI for multiple platforms (PC browser, Japanese mobile, iPhone, iPad)
- over 5 years experience with Illustrator / Photoshop
- over 2 years experience in selecting and directing external design agencies in Japan
- deep working knowledge of web-standards HTML and CSS markup
- read basic Japanese
Other Preferences:
- experience as a lead designer, guiding work with outside agencies
- experience hand-coding web-standards HTML and CSS markup, in a cross-browser environment
- ability to work in international environment (read/write English emails, participate in meetings in English)
